INTRODUCTION
” Bringing Africa Closer — One Marketplace at a Time “
We are more than a marketplace. We’re a bridge connecting African sellers to global markets, empowering them to thrive while ensuring our communities never feel disconnected from their roots. Every product we showcase tells a story of tradition, craftsmanship and resilience.
VISION
To be the heartbeat of African commerce in the UK and Europe — where every transaction celebrates African culture, connects communities, and uplifts businesses.
MISSION
To empower African entrepreneurs, deliver authentic products with excellence, and create a trusted space where quality meets culture.
DEVELOPMENT PROCESS FLOW
INFORMATION GATHERING
Identifying the project goals, target audience, functionalities, and key features needed for the website.
The client did all these, and provided the outcomes to CORDIALTEC to develop.
PLANNING
Defining the project scope, creating a sitemap, setting timelines, and allocating resources.
All of these were done, and presented to CORDIALTEC.
DESIGN
Developing the visual aesthetic of the website including wireframes, mockups, color schemes, and page layouts.
The client took care of this part, by engaging the services of a UI/UX designer, and provided the design outcomes to CORDIALTEC to develop.
DEVELOPMENT (Coding)
Writing the code using languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to bring the design to life.
The Project is of course powered by the usual web Technologies — HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend.
The backend is PHP, and Database is MariaDB on an Apache server.
TESTING
Thoroughly checking all functionalities, user experience, compatibility across devices, and identifying bugs to fix.
The test showed that all parts are functioning as intended.
DEPLOYMENT (Launch)
Uploading the completed website to a live server, making it accessible to the public.
The Project is live, at : https://afrimarkets.uk
MAINTENANCE
Ongoing updates, bug fixes, security patches, and content management to keep the website functioning properly.
This is constantly done, when any anomaly is spotted.
